Hi, I'm Lizette - a certified parent educator, child development and family studies student, and your guide at The Parent Theory.

My approach is rooted in empathy and equity, built on real-world experience, and backed by research. As a bilingual educator trained through the AJ Novick group and with years of hands-on experience supporting families, I'm passionate about helping parents feel informed, supported, and empowered.
I believe every family deserves respectful, conscious support. Whether you are a parent or and educator, seeking connection-based discipline strategies, or just want someone to walk with you on this journey - I'm here for you.
My Story
Founder of The Parent Theory.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about understanding how children grow, learn, and connect. But more than anything, I’ve been driven by one core belief: parents deserve support, not shame.
Working in early childhood settings and navigating educational systems, I saw so many caregivers doing their best with little guidance—and even less grace. I knew there had to be a better way to support families. That’s why I created The Parent Theory.
Here, I combine research-backed strategies with a real-world, heart-centered approach. I’m certified through the AJ Novick Group and currently pursuing my B.A. in Child Development and Family Studies. But beyond the credentials, I’m someone who deeply believes in honoring your experience, your culture, and your connection to your child.
I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I specialize in helping parents of toddlers and young children feel equipped and empowered—whether you’re facing behavioral challenges, entering preschool, or simply trying to create more peace at home.
This work is personal to me. It’s not about being the “perfect parent.” It’s about building a relationship with your child that feels healthy, grounded, and full of joy—and knowing you’re not alone in the process.
